Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV on Thursday, the leader maintained that the political vehicle will remain standing and is not ready for any merger further saying that the only way they can work with other parties and coalitions is through a coalition.

''We are not dissolving the party. However, we are ready to work with other parties through a coalition," she said.

The party is, however, most likely to work with the new opposition under the National Super Alliance (NASA) given that the party leader has lately been associating herself with the alliance and was among the leaders that attended the alliance's mega meeting at the Bomas of Kenya last month.

The leader is also keen on unseating Machakos County Chief Dr Alfred Mutua on the CCU Party ticket and is certain that her party is strong enough to take part in the coming general polls slated for August.
