Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti will file an appeal against High Court ruling that upheld Governor Alfred Mutua's re-election in August 8, 2018 election next week.
Ndeti said her legal team had finalized the appeal and will file it before the court of appeal in Nairobi on Monday next week.
"Our appeal is coming on Monday 16, 2018," the former Kathiani lawmaker said in a twitter post yesterday.
Ndeti said she is determined to pursue justice for Machakos people.
The former MP maintains that Governor Mutua's re-election was marred with massive illegalities and irregularities.
Ndeti stated that the High Court disregarded key evidence in upholding Governor Mutua's re-election.
In February, Machakos High Court Judge Agrey Muchelule dismissed a petition by Ndeti challenging Mutua's re-election.
The court ruled that Ndeti's petition lacked merit.
The court slapped the former MP with Sh10 Million fine as cost for the petition.
Governor Mutua has been quoted asking Ndeti to partner with him in serving Machakos people.
