Former Kathaini MP Wavinya Ndeti will conduct a memorial service for her late hubby, Price Henry Oduwole on Saturday, September 30. The husband of the politician, a Nigerian, died September 25, last year. The function will take place at her home in Kinanie family home from 10 am.
"Kindly join us as we remember my dear husband, who not a day goes by without us thinking of him. Rest in peace my darling," Ndeti said in her invitation.
During the burial of Ndeti’s wife, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, who a senator at that time caused drama when he proclaimed himself the head of state. President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto were not in the county during the burial.
Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka is among the dignitaries expected to attend the ceremony. Kalonzo has, however, not confirmed his attendance. The two leaders enjoy a cordial relationship.
Ndeti defected from Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) to join Wiper where she contested against Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua. The politician has since gone to court to challenge Mutua’s win. In her sworn affidavit, Ndeti cited illegalities and irregularities in the election process.
