Machakos Governor hopeful Wavinya Ndeti has urged residents not to gamble with votes on Tuesday.
Ndeti wants residents to make informed choices and vote for visionary leaders.
In an interview with the Daily Nation on Saturday, Ndeti said that residents have a chance to elect leaders who will push for development.
She said that the county has failed to achieve its development agenda because of Governor Alfred Mutua’s alleged poor leadership.
The former Kathiani MP claimed that Mutua has messed up Machakos economic status.
“Machakos people and Kenyans at large must make wise choices on the ballot on Tuesday and elect leaders who are development conscious,” she said as quoted by the Daily Nation.
Ndeti, who is vying for the governor seat on Wiper party ticket, also cautioned residents against endorsing politicians with questionable integrity.
She said that some aspirants eyeing for political office are not fit to hold public positions.
Ndeti asked incumbent governor Mutua to prepare to go home on Tuesday.
Ndeti has vowed to give Mutua a run for his money, saying that the governor will be jobless on Tuesday.
The former Kathiani MP received a major boost after Machakos deputy governor Bernard Kiala dropped out of the race and endorsed Ndeti.
Governor Mutua is seeking re-election on his Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) Party.
