Ndeti who was speaking in an exclusive interview on NTV Monday said that women politicians have been looked down upon for a very long time by their male counterparts and its their time to come up and prove themselves further maintaining that just like men, they have what it takes to vie,win and lead as elected persons.
''Women, especially those in the political arena in preparation for the coming polls have to believe in themselves and don't let anyone discourage them.We are equally skillful and able and we must apply the skills some of us have used to run institutions and families to help our people as political leaders,'' said the former Kathiani lawmaker who further said that to achieve that, women have to join hands and create a strong front to battle it out with male politicians who would like to use their disunited situation to dominate them.
''Women have to work together and compliment each other especially at this time when the elections are just around the corner,'' she explained.
Ndeti has since bagged the Wiper Party ticket in the recent party primaries after folding her Chama Cha Uzalendo party and she will use it in the race which will see her battle it out with the incumbent governor Alfred Mutua among others in the poll scheduled for August 8.
She joins the list of fellow women eyeing big elective positions in the coming elections with a few others including Nazlin Umar who is vying for Presidency,Joyce Laboso (Bomet Governor) and Anne Waiguru and Martha Karua who will battle it out in the race for Kirinyaga county top spot
