Amid alliance formations by Jubilee politicians in Nairobi to dislodge incumbent governor, Evans Kidero, Dagoreti South MP, Denis Waweru has intimated that he is in the race to the end. Speaking on Thursday during an interview, Waweru said he was the best candidate to oust the ODM governor from the seat and called upon his rivals to back him in the 2017 polls."I am the only one who has what it takes to beat Kidero and I must face him on the ballot. I won't quit the race half way," he said. He at the same time confirmed speculations that Nairobi senator Mike Sonko, nominated MP, Johnson Sakaja and himself had formed a political pact dubbed 'Team Nairobi'.In a thinly veiled attack aimed at water CS, Eugene Wamalwa, and former housings assistant minister, Margaret Wanjiru who are said to be working on a formation to contest for the gubernatorial seat, Waweru said Nairobi has no room for projects adding that they are not Jubilee dissolve enough. "Some were in ODM and some with Musalia Mudavadi. They are not Jubilee enough and could be secretly working for their earlier agents," he said.
