Wayne Rooney has welcomed Everton's trip to Tanzania and believes he will get some play time against Kenyan giants Gor Mahia.
The two sides will clash at Daresalaam's Uhuru Stadium on July 13, 2017.
Accoding to Everton Tv, the striker first trained with the side USM Finch Farm on Monday and is expected in the travelling unit to East Africa later this week.
"It’ll be nice and hopefully I’ll get on the pitch and get some game-time. It’s good when you go away with the team," he said.
"It’s good to be around the hotel with the players, spend more time with them and get to know them more. I’ve never been to Tanzania before, so I’m really looking forward to it," Rooney added.
