Newly promoted Wazito FC sent an early warning to SportPesa Premier League clubs by beating Posta Rangers 1-0 to clinch the Jamhuri Cup at the Kasarani Stadium on Tuesday. The newly promoted SPL outfit left it late to beat the mailmen in the match that was the highlight of the 54th anniversary of the declaration of Kenya as a Republic.John Mabia scored the winning goal in the 88th minute in spectacular fashion; a neat finish from 18 yards that gave Rangers custodian, Lucas Indeche, no chance. Both sides used the match to parade their new acquisitions with Wazito fielding former Rangers midfielder, Moses Otieno and Harun Nyakha who joined them from AFC Leopards SC.The mailmen, on the other hand, had Indeche as their new catch as well as Nakuru All Stars FC prodigy, Peter Nganga in midfield.
