Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has rubbished claims that the Cord coalition is having a tough time on deciding on the coalition's flag-bearer for the next general polls due August next year.
During an interview with Citizen Television's Salim Swalleh on Sunday, the senator said that the coalition has already decided and clearly knows the person.
He however declined all the efforts to have him disclose the person simply describing him as a Kenyan who has leadership skills.
The coalition has been on the spot lately due to internal wrangles with all the 3 principals expressing their willingness and full appetite to go for the post as they are also under pressure from their supporters.
Opposite to the rival coalition Jubilee which has already planned and announced its formation until 2032, the Cord coalition has been silent on its formation for the next election with most people terming it a result of confusion and internal wrangles.
Muthama however termed this an intended surprise attack to ensure that the coalition sends one of its own to State House in 2017.
