Nakuru County Deputy governor Joseph Ruto has assured the county residents that the government is committed to boosting service delivery to them.
Speaking at Merica Hotel on Wednesday, Ruto stated that the county has initiated various projects meant to uplift the living standards of the locals.
He observed that enough money has been channeled towards key development projects that include education, provision of water, and medical care among others.
“Nakuru people should know that the government is keen on addressing key issues facing them,” said the Deputy governor.
On unemployment, the Ruto said that the county is working on more measures that will create job opportunities especially for the youth. He stated that they are collaborating with public and state agencies to address unemployment.
He also urged youths to take advantage of State funds and boost their lives. He added that enough money has been given by the government to empower women, youths and persons with disabilities.
At the same time, Ruto urged local leaders to unite and support the county government’s development agenda adding that development would only be realised if leaders are united.
“Our unity is important if we want to achieve development goals in our county,” said Ruto.
