The visit of the head of state Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to Gusiiland has been hailed by residents who hope that all the promises he made will be fulfilled in time.
According to the residents who spoke to the press from both Kisii and Nyamira counties, they expressed their happiness and hopes that all will be fulfilled more so in improving the health and road sectors.
They noted that for quite some time they have been waiting for him to come to the counties to commission the roads which have been impassible for many years
“Am happy for the visits of the head of state and I hope that all the promises will be fulfilled in time for the sake of development of this county,” said Makori Osinde resident Nyamira
During the visit, Uhuru commissioned the 27-kilometre Mogonga-Kenyenya-Riokindo-Mogenche road in Kisii County which will begin from next month.
He also commissioned the construction of the Metamanywa-Mosobeti-Kebirigo road in Kitutu Masaba Constituency in Nyamira.
In the health sector, Uhuru assured residents that he will help Kisii level six to raise its standard so that residents cannot travel to Nairobi to seek medical attention.
