A section of MPs from the Western Kenya region have pledged their support for the Jubilee Party in the upcoming general elections.
The legislators who decamped their parties allied to the Nasa colition said the Jubilee government was the best option for meaningful developments.
The close to ten lawmakers, accompanied the Deputy President William Ruto to a series of rallies in the region, trying to woo locals to Jubilee.
Ruto addressed the residnets at Malava, Mautuma and Sango in Likuyani Constituency and headed to Malava, hosted by the area MP Malulu Injendi.
Speaking at Malava, they said they chose Jubilee owing to its development agenda and they will support it in the August polls.
"Your Excellency let me assure you that we are in Jubilee to stay.This is the right time to form the next government again and I don't want to be left out and that is why I am totally supporting the government that is focused on the developments of its people," Injendi said.
He outlined the developments he has benefited after working with the Jubilee government.
"I remember when I came and told you about the roads which are now being tarmacked and many other developments. We are totally in support of jubilee," he added.
MPs Benjamin Washiali (Mumias East) said the Opposition was only interested in power and has not made it clear what agenda they have for Kenya.
"My constituents are happy for the developments the government has done through my efforts after I decided to decamp to the better side," he said.
David Were of Matungu said they would not be left in the formation of the National government.
Other MPs who supported the government included Emmanuel Wangwe (Navakholo), Janet Nangabo (Trans Nzoia), and David (Wafula Saboti).
