As the debate on the roles of Deputy Governors rages, Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has made his intervention.Speaking to the media yesterday, the deputy governor contended that the Deputy Governors were very important in advancing the respective agendas of the 47 County Governments.''Deputy Governors are not flower girls as some people want Kenyans to believe. We are very important because the governors alone cannot take the counties forward without our input. We have seen some politicians launch onslaughts on deputy governors so that they can become governors,'' Josh Maangi said.Mr. Joas Maangi said that there was a need to address the existing confusion as quickly as possible.Giving deputy governors their rightful place was long overdue he argued.
