Led by East Seme MCA Aggrey Ogosi , the MCAs say theirs is to offer an oversight role and check the executive and not being sycophants.

Ogosi said the executive should move with speed now and present the proposed supplementary budget in the assembly, so that it can be passed and start working.

Ogosi added that the county is lagging behind in terms of development and something must be done, demanding that the Governor presents to the assembly reports of how the budgets of 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 financial years have been tackled.

Deputy Speaker Pamela Josi also said they are not satisfied with how the county has been operating, adding that the assembly is yet to receive financial reports from the county.

“We have a lot of pressure from the grassroots because they are not seeing any tangible projects being done in our areas,” she said.

Other MCAs present during the press conference included Prisca Misachi of Shaurimoyo/Kaloleni, John Kadede, James Diang’a, Elijah Omondi, Yona Maina Koko among others.
