NASA strategist David Ndii has rubbished claims that the coalition is the reason why the Jubilee administration has failed to form a government.
Speaking on Thursday during a press briefing, Ndii said they have no intention of forming part of the government with President Kenyatta and do not want any cabinet slots.
“Jubilee is now unable to form a government. Rather than address this failure, which is caused by power grabbing, Jubilee is spreading information that somehow Nasa wants nusu mkate government. We state categorically that we are not interested in power sharing with Jubilee,” he said.
He further added: “We have made it clear that we do not recognize this regime, and we are not prepared to help it out of its own mess by lending it legitimacy so that it can limp along to the election that will take place in 2022,”
He further noted that the vast majority of Kenyans stand with the NASA coalition and their push to ensure there is a ‘legitimate’ government.
“Nasa is not interested in a boardroom deal, we have had boardroom deals before which have not delivered for the people,” he said.
The NASA coalition has continued the push to have dialogue with the government, or else swear in Raila Odinga on January 31.
