Lead by the two officials, James Kenani (Deputy national chairman) and Steve Arika (Youth Leader) they have said that NEC members and delegates including some area MPs are free to leave the party individually but not purporting to dissolve it in favor of the JP.

They strongly censured Nyaundi for holding a meeting at Sameta in Bobasi constituency with some area delegates, MPs, and ODM members to allege that the party followers will move to JAP.

The NEC officials maintained the party will remain intact but support President Uhuru Kenyatta and deputy president William Ruto in next year’s general elections.

Kenani claimed the NEC was contemplating disciplinary measures against Nyaundi and its interim national treasurer Francis Karioki for posing as national party secretary general.

He said Ford People as a party cherished national unity while maintaining its respect and independence of ideologies adding that it was never operated single-handedly.

Arika warned that the party founder members were opposed to any scheme by some of its officials to auction it to the newly awaited JAP.

Arika observed the NEC or any party organ had not met to resolve on the purported merger with a new intensity and registered his dissatisfaction with the manner in which Nyaundi was bent on entrapping the entire party membership.

The youth leader reaffirmed support for the president and alluded to last general elections when they voted for him through affiliation to his coalition wondering why some individuals would want to reverse the situation.

“We will support the President and his Deputy in the next general election but not by dissolving our party,” he said.
