Interior cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i has denied claims by the opposition that the government was targetting some citizens.
The CS said that Jubilee Government was responsible and worked as stipulated by the constitution.
He further said that the Government will go on respecting the rule of law.
"We shall only take action against anyone who breaks the law and those who threaten the peace of Kenyans," said Dr Matiang'i.
He was speaking at Kebirichi Secondary School, Gachuba ward, Nyamira County.
"Their are people who are literally breaking the law and daring the Government to take action. That is unacceptable," he said.
He sent a stern warning to all citizens no matter their political affiliations that the rule of law will not be compromised.
His sentiments come barely a week after a section of opposition surporters in Kisii County accused the Government of being behind their arrests.
Two weeks ago, six opposition youths were arrested in Kisii town and spent the night in the cells.
