Eldoret's Huruma MCA Peter Chomba and his Langas counterpart, Francis Muya have refuted claims that they are tribal leaders. They said they are in the frontline in the fight against tribalism. "Why should we discriminate people on tribal grounds yet we received votes from all tribes.Nobody applied to be born in a particular tribe," said Chomba in Eldoret town, Thursday."Our biggest enemy are tribal leaders. We will fight round the clock to ensure every tribe is included in the Uasin Gishu County leadership," added Muya. They reiterated tribal leaders should not be allowed to lead."Why are we branded tribalist because we support Buzeki. It's our democratic right to support whoever we wish," noted Chomba."Uasin Gishu County is a cosmopolitan county one cannot lead without the support of other tribes. We need each other," said Chomba. They however urged aspirants to conduct their campaigns peacefully and avoid dividing Kenyans on tribal and political cocoons that might lead to war. "In 2007 we were badly affected by the post election violence. We won't allow it to happen again," added Muya.
