Speaking in Maralal town on Wednesday, Leshoomo said the election will take place in Samburu as was planned despite threats from the Opposition that they will disrupt the poll.
Leshoomo downplayed IEBC commissioner Roselyn Akombe’s resignation, saying it wont affect the commission's operations.
She said that IEBC was already training 109 presiding officers and their deputies for Samburu West constituency.
She slamed Akombe for tendering her resignation while outside the country.
