City Hall management has vowed to change the trend of having hawkers in the city centre every election period.
Governor Kidero and his deputy Jonathan Mueke have issued a stern notice that they would be pulling all stops in the coming months to bring back order in the city center irrespective of political affiliations or considerations.
A week ago, business chiefs read a riot act to the county administrators over growing impunity and disorder, saying the city was no longer conducive for business owners even as the electioneering period draws nearer.
In a tough response to the business community, the City Hall bosses disclosed they were already biting the bullet and ready to act on the matter. They said they had restored sanity in Eastleigh markets and that they were pushing on to other areas within the county.
"Residents of Buru Buru can now breathe better after almost being run off by structures and illegal kiosks,” Mueke revealed. He added that the city's administration was contemplating into breaking the cycle of impunity that has been witnessed in the previous electoral years where leaders exchange votes for chaos and disorder.
