Kilifi Women Representative Aisha Jumwa insists that the opposition team is ready to ‘die’ top have its leader, Raila Odinga, sworn in as the fifth president of Kenya.
Jumwa further backed January 4th demonstrations that have been organised by the opposition should Senate fail to shoot down controversial election amendments that were passed by the National Assembly.
On her Facebook account, Jumwa said the demonstrations will get rid the state of ‘anarchy’ that Jubilee government is subjecting Kenyans to.
“As opposition, we are ready to die to have the choice of majority sworn in as president of this country. Raila has done a lot for the country and we are sure of a landslide victory,” Writes Jumwa.
“The demonstrations will help us rescue the country from the awkward state of anarchy we are being subjected to. We are ready to throng to streets and the government should only provide us with security,” she says.
Jumwa also notes that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s inability to handle economy will ‘severely’ work against him in 2017.
