Cord co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka says that they are ready to welcome disgruntled members of the Jubilee coalition into the Cord coalition as most of them fear that they will be rigged out at the nominations.

According to Kalonzo, half of the Jubilee party leaders will be joining them in the opposition and that he together with co-principals Raila Odinga and Moses Wetangula are ready to receive them.

"Half of Jubilee party leaders will join us. We in Cord remain united," Kalonzo said.

This comes at a time when there are jitters within the ruling coalition over the newly formed Jubilee Party with a section of its leaders expressing fears of lack of a democratic space.

"You will see how they will abandon the party because they will be outdoing each other in votes rigging," he added.

The former Vice President was also quick to appeal to the Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi and his NARC-Kenya counterparts to join the Cord coalition to make it stronger to be able to win the 2017 polls.
