NASA leader Raila Odinga has been assured support in his bid to push for the constitutional amendments in this country before the 2022 elections.
Borabu MP Ben Momanyi said nothing is going to stop them from pushing for the constitutional changes.
The lawmaker maintained that those opposing constitutional amendments are those who enjoys when Kenyans fight each other.
“We can’t continue seeing fights during elections in this country. It is time we as leaders to unite so that we change the constitution to bring more leaders into the government for our people to be safe before, during and after elections,” he said.
The Wiper party MP said Nyamira leaders will not oppose the changes because the Gusii community has been victimized.
"The Gusii community members have been killed in election chaos and therefore, we will not oppose the constitutional amendments because we will have no chaos in this country again for our people to be killed innocently,” he said.
Momanyi said the government should accept Raila’s plan to amend the constitution for the sake of peace in this country before, during and after elections.
