Vihiga Senator George Khaniri has asked Opposition chief Raila Odinga to swear-in himself as People's President to end anxiety among NASA supporters.

Speaking on Sunday in Kakamega, the lawmaker stated that most NASA supporters are tired of waiting for the former Prime Minister to take oath of office.

"Take oath then go ahead and name a Cabinet so that counties can start remitting their taxes to Raila’s government with immediate effect," he said.

"Stop calling press conferences every now and then to tell people that you have postponed the swearing in. We should be done with this issue once and for all," he added.

Initial plans to swear-in Raila in December were postponed under unclear circumstances, with the NASA leadership indicating that a later date would be announced.

The outfit has since formed an assumption of office committee, with reports suggesting that Raila could be sworn-in later this month.
