Striking doctors have denied claims that they will meet President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House on Wednesday to strike a go-back-to-work deal.
Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union Secretary General Ouma Oluga said claims about the meeting were baseless.
"We are yet to receive a formal invitation to attend the meeting," he said as reported by the Star.
"We are treating the reports as rumours. If indeed there are such talks they will be made public."
The medics on Saturday denied reports that they had been offered a package which, they rejected.
"Talks without the implementation of a Collective Bargaining Agreement are null and void," Oluga said.
The strike has paralyzed medical service provision for the last close to six weeks.
During his New Year address to the nation Uhuru told the doctors to stop subjecting Kenyans to suffering.
He urged them to return to work.
He said government, will do all at its disposal to meet the doctor's demands.
Earlier on the government offered Sh50,000 increase for the lowest paid doctor pushing the salary to Sh176,000.
The doctor rejected the offer.
