The MPs say Jubilee Party will not be scared or threatened by the opposition’s Alliance.

Speaking at Thigio Primary School in Limuru on Sunday during a thanksgiving prayer ceremony, the MPs led by John Kiragu (Limuru), said Jubilee Party will win massively in next year's polls.

They said the opposition’s proposed alliance is a waste of time. “We are not worried by Raila’s proposed super alliance because we know we have the numbers to win in 2017,” said Kiragu.

The MPs said Cord is confused even in picking its flag bearer. “How can we be worried about people who can’t even agree on a flag bearer?” asked Jude Njomo (Kiambu MP)

The MPs said President Uhuru’s development agenda will see him re-elected in 2017.

The lawmakers vowed to put up a spirited campaign for Uhuru’s re-election next year.

There have been speculations that Cord is planning to form a National Super Alliance to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The opposition is said to have reached out to Baringo Senator Gideon Moi (Kanu), Martha Karua (Narc-Kenya), Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto (Chama Cha Mashinani), Wavinya Ndeti (Chama Cha Uzalendo) and former Lands Cabinet secretary Charity Ngilu.

Cord is also said to be courting Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi.

However, Gideon Moi, Martha Karua and Isaac Ruto have denied working with Raila ahead of the 2017 polls.
