Re-elected Siaya senator James Orengo has told NASA supporters to seek peace as the first priority now.

Speaking at a rally in Nairobi, Orengo decried the killings of citizens across the country and said peace must be restored first as the country seeks to get justice.

He was speaking to over 1,000 charged Nairobians to be orderly ahead of a major announcement by Opposition leader Raila Odinga.

"All we want is peace, then justice will come later. Leave the people of Kibra alone ... Kibra is part of Kenya," he said.

"[Acting Interior CS Fred] Matiang'i alisema Kenya yote kuna amani... Kibra is in Kenya, let our people go," he added.

Orengo said that the NASA alliance will show Kenyans how the polls were stolen to get President Uhuru Kenyatta another term in office.
