Voters in Nakuru County have been urged to turn up in large numbers and cast their vote in the repeat presidential election slated for Thursday, October 26, 2017.
Area returning officer Silas Rotich said all preparations had been done and that the election officials are ready to proceed with the fresh poll.
"We are doing this election under extraordinary circumstances but we guarantee you credible elections on October 26," Rotich said.
Rotich, in an interview with the Nation, confirmed having received the election materials adding they are now being distributed to the constituencies.
"The commission can assure residents of credible elections as per the existing laws which we have considered in the preparation," he added.
The election comes at a time when the country appears to be divided along political wings.
While Jubilee Party has been calling on their supporters to turn up in large numbers, the Opposition alliance led by Raila Odinga has been rallying supporters to boycott the polls.
