Ngeno stated that Jubilee has failed to deliver promises they made in 2012, adding that Jubilee Party does not care about problems of local mwanachi.

He was speaking on Saturday during the launch of Mashinani Development Party (MDP).

"We are not sheep to be forced to join a a party simply because the DP has joined it. As individuals, we have the right and freedom to make political choices and we are not allowing anyone to treat us like slaves," he said.

"We cannot just walk out of our party and join a foreign party. We want to make it clear that we are joining the Mashinani party and shall defend our seats on this party," added Nge'no.

On his part, Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto urged Kalenjins to join the Mashinani party.

"My people, you have no political home because your home has been demolished but we have decided to build a new home and all of you are welcome to join the Mashinani party," he said.
