National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has been warned against indulging ODM leader Raila Odinga in their investigations.
Speaking yesterday in Masaba market Migori County, a section of ODM legislators said the commission was playing games with them and that they would not sit back and let them (NCIC) continue disrespecting Odinga.
The legislators, who had accompanied Raila for a political campaign, said NCIC boss Francis Ole Kaparo had no right to implicate Raila of hate speech as he had never incited the people.
ODM chair John Mbadi, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma and Homa Bay Women Rep Gladys Wanga dared Kaparo to continue with the investigation and promised to react if Raila was affected in any way.
"Kaparo should know that there would be consequences for his actions if he touches Cord leader Raila Odinga. If he wants to cause problems to the country, then he can go on and touch our leader," warned Mbadi.
During his campaign in the region, Raila received the backing of the Kuria elders who drummed up support for his presidential bid for 2017 elections.
The race for Cord flag-bearer position was further impeded by the inclusion of Amani National congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi who has called for the formation of a super alliance that would easily send Jubilee home in 2017 elections.
