According to the Secretariat's chairman Joseph Rotich, supporters of Dr Mishra were the ones who stormed their offices and attacked them.

Speaking to the press at the Secretariat offices in the outskirts of Eldoret town, Tuesday, Rotich insisted that their competitor, Dr Mishra was not injured.

"This place has been our offices since the campaigns begun but surprisingly today Dr Mishra came here causing some sort of friction between supporters of the two camps," said Rotich.

"I personally asked my people not to harm Dr Mishra and I am surprised that he later claimed to have been injured which is not true as the only time the two groups clashed was after Mishra had left," he added.

Rotich said over 10 people of his team were injured during the incident. He however asked aspirants in the constituency to conduct peaceful campaigns.

On Tuesday, Dr Mishra had claimed that supporters of his rival Allan Kosgey had attacked him during a meeting at the constituency.

Mishra together with several other supporters were allegedly injured and taken to the Mediheal hospital for training. The aspirant was later flown to Nairobi for further treatment.
