The bungled anti-terror operation which ended in the death of tycoon industrialist Bunty Shah has sparked off a tough row in the top ranks of the police service.
Senior police commanders of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Administration Police and the regular police have spoken up distancing themselves from the operation.
In a Monday security meeting, they all said they would not take the blame.
According to the Star, they all point their fingers at Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet and want him to clarify on the operation since they were neither informed nor consulted of the raid.
It is understood that even key
security chiefs who normally be
involved or informed were also left in the dark and it was only Boinnet who was aware
of the operation.
