Motorists operating Bamburi-Ferry route are constantly complaining of the poor state of the road which is filled with potholes, making it hard to conduct their business.
The motorists said that they have to communicate to the relevant authorities for road repair as the county government has done nothing but given them fake promises, something they have claimed is spoiling their transport business.
“In this business, our aim is to make some cash so that we sustain ourselves but not only working to repair the vehicle often," said Robert Ngala, one of the motorists.
Charles Matano, another driver said that potholes on the roads have made some passengers opt to use motorbikes since they say that vehicles do not ferry them comfortably.
“The bad state of roads with potholes is killing the matatu business as many passengers are not using matatus now,” he said.
“The county government should start the repair of the roads with potholes to make our business do well like before. The roads should be reconstructed if repair is not easy in this case,” said Matano.
