Rael Nthambi, a church member, on Wednesday evening said that the allegations that the members worship while naked are not true.

“I have worshiped in the healing ministry for more than three years; I have never seen anyone being naked. The church welcomes people in hopeless situations and helps them regain spiritual strength,” said Nthambi.

Nthambi further noted that the church pastor is at times invited by other churches to minister leaving the church to the assistant pastor.

This comes three days after the Healing Ministry Ekalakala was closed down by the government following alleged reports that members worship naked.

Church leader Joseph Wambua claimed that the report originated from the area chief who demanded for bribe after noting that the church was growing.

“In healing ministries we worship one true God. There is no day I have told members to remove clothes. The rumours are fuelled by the chief who demanded bribe from me but I declined,” said Wambua.
