Security along the volatile Kisii –Transmara West border has been beefed up and more soldiers have been deployed to end the current tension.
According to Kisii county commissioner Mrs Kula Hache the fresh tension that broke up claiming lives of the residents is unwanted and they have done all it takes to ensure that they peace gets back.
Kula Hache confirmed that on Sunday morning One lost his life while eight others were injured at Ol-Melil in Transmara West when two armed groups from both sides of the border clashed.
She added that among those who were injured included two form four candidates though they have made the necessary actions and they will carry out their exams from their hospital beds as they are still stable.
“We are not happy with the frequent clashes along the borders and we will arrest all the youths that fuel them up and those involved in funding them will also be arraigned in court” she added
Addressing the press at her office on Monday morning the County commissioner said that they have so far arrested some of the suspects from both sides and they believe that they will be able to get a long lasting solution.
