The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has dismissed claims that there is a crisis after the Supreme Court ruling.

The Wafula Chebukati led agency assured Kenyans that all is well as the country gets ready for a fresh presidential poll within 60 days.

“For the records, we have not had any scuffles or crisis meetings as reported. All is well, save for the fake news” reads a tweet by the Commission.

IEBC is yet to announce the new date for the repeat election.

Mr Chebukati said they were waiting for the Supreme Court’s full judgement so as to improve on areas they failed during the August 8 polls.

The Supreme Court on September 1 annulled the presidential results of the polls, saying it was not conducted in accordance with the dictates of the constitution.
