Kalonzo, a former vice president and Ukambani political kingpin, said that leaders aligned to the National Super Alliance (NASA) under the leadership of former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga are ready and prepared to lead their supporters to victory when that time comes.

Kalonzo, now NASA deputy President, said that Jubilee should prepare to leave power because they are not going to delay the election.

“We have no intention to delay the elections,’’ he said.

The remarks of the former vice president come at a time when leaders backing the re-election of Uhuru have been arguing that the  recent court cases from the opposition is a clear indicator that they are not prepared for the elections.

Jubilee and NASA have continued to differ over various including the Ballot paper printing tender. The opposition wants the ballot paper printing tender awarded to Al Ghurair revoked.

The leaders argue the company has links with Uhuru, who is defending his post in August. The Jubilee side has, however, dismissed the allegations terming them baseless and ill-motivated.
