Siaya legislator, Senator James Orengo, was on Tuesday hosted on Citizen Tv show where he was asked to make it clear whether the opposition has abandoned its supporters.
This follows the move by the ODM party leader, Raila Odinga, to work with the government thereby limiting his opposition responsibilities.
The opposition led by Raila Odinga has always been on the forefront in the fight for reforms in the country.
However, the truce has raised questions about the effectiveness of the opposition.
"Has Odinga, you included Orange Democratic Movement and senator Orengo abandoned the reforms and cries of your supporters or ultimately shortchanged your supporters?" Hussein Mohammed, a presenter, asked Orengo.
"The reform agenda is still with us and if you are saying we have shortchanged our supporters we have gone back to them and we have had meetings particularly in Nyanza. We have been to areas within Nairobi trying to tell our supporters what all these means," responded Orengo.
Furthermore, Orengo said that their supporters have been addressed about the cooperation between ODM and Jubilee Party.
"They have been addressed to the extent of this cooperation between us with Jubilee Party so it's not like we are going to run away from them," Mr. Orengo promised.
The opposition has of late been silent since the ODM party signed a pact with the Jubilee Party.
