In response to reported disquiet among locals of Ukambani region, Deputy President William Ruto has said that the Jubilee government has not sidelined the Kamba community. This is after the ongoing delay in the construction of the Kibwezi-Kitui road that had been commissioned by the president late last year in December.
"We have not sidelined the Kamba community, he said, while addressing residents of Kambu area in the ukambani region. He urged the residents to ditch the newly formed NASA and join Jubilee as the opposition leaders lacked vision and had not even identified a presidential candidate.
The deputy president further criticised opposition leaders Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula for having nothing to show for the many years they were in public service.
He defended the Jubilee government for undertaking major development projects as compared to the opposition which he termed as visionless.
