Kenyans have been urged to respect the ruling on the presidential petition to be announced by the Supreme Court tomorrow.

Devolution CS Mwangi Kiunjuri said elections come and go but the country has to move on irrespective of the top court verdict.

"The damage we cause to the country will be felt by us and the other generations to come. We have to live with the outcome," he said on Friday.

Speaking during a function at the KICC in Nairobi, the CS urged politicians to be cognisant of their actions, saying that they are likely to have a direct impact on economic growth.

"It is good that we restrain ourselves as leaders as we await the outcome of the Supreme Court on Monday. Let our actions be guided by the Constitution," Kiunjuri said.

The Chief Justice David Maraga-led court is expected to give its verdict on two election petitions challenging President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection in the October 26 fresh poll.

One of the petitions was filed by civil activists Njonjo Mue and Khelef Khalifa.

The other was filed by former Kilome MP Harun Mwau.
