Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party chairman John Mbadi has said that the Cord coalition has not settled on any presidential candidate to fly the coalition's flag in the 2017 polls.
Mbadi said that reports that the Cord leaders would be supporting the Amani Nation Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi in the 2017 polls was cheap propaganda being spearheaded by the National Intelligence Service (NIS).
"We have not had any discussions on the presidential candidate and we have not settled on any person. Mudavadi has not joined Cord and thus it is not right to say that we have settled on him," he said.
The Suba MP added that the government has resorted to using the spy agency to propagate propaganda against the Cord leader.
"We are aware of the NIS schemes on this matter and fake opinion polls calling for Raila's early retirement," he said.
