Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has said the country needs development conscious leaders, and not those with aims of dividing Kenyans along tribal lines.
Mutua was speaking on Sunday at the launch of Chrisco Church in Vota, where he had accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta and other leaders from the region.
Speaking at the event, the president urged Kenyans to support community initiatives that transform the country.
“We need to ask ourselves, what can I do to make this country better or what do I need to do to make my neighborhood much better?” the President said.
He further commended the Muthoka's family for honouring God with their resources and challenged other Kenyans to follow that good example.
