Kasipul Kabondo MP Oyugi Magwanga has called on residents in the Nyanza region to turn out in large numbers and register as voters.
The MP noted that there were already enough voters to elect MCAs, MPs, Senators and Governors but not enough to drive the opposition to power.
“At the county level we already have enough votes to elect governors, woman representatives, senators, MPs and even MCAs," he said as quoted by the Star.
"However, nationally, we must ensure we continue registering for the sake of Raila’s presidential contest."
The MP who has been tasked to rally his people to register as voters asked leaders to put aside their political differences and help in the voter registration campaign.
“When we launched voter mobilization two weeks ago in Homa Bay, we all agreed to stop personal campaigns. But it is unfortunate that some of us have not adhered to the agreement,” he added.
