Kikuyu lawmaker Kimani Ichung’wa has lauded Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana's leadership and development progress.
Speaking during an interview on Radio Jambo on Saturday, the legislator praised the county chief's leadership skills, noting that the same is needed in his Kiambu backyard.Citing Kibwana's healthcare and infrastructure achievements, he wished that the same could be transferred to Kiambu, in what seems like an indirect shot at Kiambu County chief Ferdinand Waititu.''I was recently in Makueni and I loved what is happening there. The county Governor Kivutha Kibwana is doing a good job and I wish there was a mechanism to have him transferred to Kiambu which is far from achieving such," he said. The lawmaker further lauded Mombasa county boss Hassan Joho for achieving similar developmental milestones, stating that he admires him despite not being a fan of his political ideologies."The Sultan is also on the right track on development. I do not approve of his political moves by I must give him the credit as he is doing a good job on health care and other important establishments," added the vocal Jubilee legislator.Waititu has lately been on the spot over accusations of focusing on the fight against liquor and paying less attention to other important development issues.
