Presidents Uhuru Kenyatta has been called upon to spearhead and allocate more funds for various development projects in Gusii land.
Addressing the president during his day tour in Nyamira County Nyaribari Chache Member of parliament Richard Tong’i said the area has been discriminated for a while and there was a need to ensure that he helps them in achieving its development agenda.
“Mr President all we want is that you should come to our region more often to commission big projects that can help all residents improve their livelihoods for we have been left behind in terms of development,” he added.
The legislator regretted that there are a number of national government projects that have stalled for years and there was a need for the president to order for inquiries or revamp the projects.
“Help the two counties get more finances that will improve farming and infrastructure for that’s what we need most and that will help our people well,” said Tong'i.
The presidents though responded on it and said he will address the matter when he lands to Kisii on Today.
