Kisumu County Assembly Chief Whip Isaiah Onyango has said that for the county assembly to end the ongoing wrangles it must have substantive speaker and clerk.
Speaking to journalists on Monday afternoon at Vic Hotel in Kisumu, Onyango said that the assembly need to employ competent people.
"If we want to stabilise our assembly we must have a substantive speaker, competent clerk and bill drafters," said Onyango.
“The issue of having acting speaker, clerk will not do us any good. We need people with experience,” reiterated Onyango.
Onyango was speaking after attending ODM disciplinary committee investigating the persistent wrangles in the county assembly.
"The county assembly has to look for away to stabilise the assembly business," said Onyango.
He noted that the county assembly has been having wrangles hence need to look for a lasting solution.
ODM chief whip said the executive and assembly must work together for Kisumu to move forward.
