Muthama said certain communities will keep producing presidents in each election year while it remains dreams for others if Kenyans keep entertaining many political parties based on tribal inclinations.

"It is impossible for any one to become president of this country if he is not from certain communities. The tribes need to be united as one to make this possible, " Muthama said.

He spoke at a Kamba Community Leadership Declaration meeting in Matungulu, Machakos County on Monday.

Muthama said the meeting was not political but meant to unite the Kamba community.

"There are many meetings which have been held in Western, Central and other parts of the country. It is not unusual if we hold this one as a Kamba Nation," Muthama said.

He said the meeting was meant to discuss unity of the 43 tribes in Kenya.

"I don't want to preempt what will be discussed here today, the leaders will announce the declaration once the meeting is over. We want to discuss unity of Kenyans, " he added.

"I announced to Kenyans that CORD needs to be a political party four years ago, the proposal of NASA to be a political party is therefore not new," he noted.

Muthama said Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka stands for a one united country.

He said NASA co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula have realized they cannot make it to presidency in isolation without uniting with other tribes.

Kalonzo led the meeting at Koma Hill Kiamba Primary School.

All elected, nominated and other leaders from Kitui, Makueni and Machakos counties were in attendance.

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua snubbed the meeting.

Mutua said his Maendeleo Chap Party was not officially invited to the meeting.

He claimed he was not involved in the meeting's planning adding and colors used in the program were Wiper's.

The host Matungulu MP Stephen Mule trashed the claims terming them baseless. Mule said nobody was officially invited to the meeting that is open to all Kamba leaders and residents. He said Mutua is fond of "selling off" the Kamba community.
