Speaking on Thursday, Karua said that despite working closely with the opposition chiefs, her party had never considered joining forces.

''Am not a member of the opposition,we have only been a friend of the Cord coalition and that is why we have been working closely with them," said Karua.

The former Gichugu lawmaker has in the recent past been closely associating with the coalition in criticizing the Jubilee government when they thought that the nation was not on the right track but has now announced that she will support the President's re-election bid.

However, despite the support, she has made it clear that her party will at the same time not be absorbed into President Uhuru's Jubilee Party.

''My people know where they will put their votes,it is okay to vote me for Governor on a Nark Kenya ticket and support President Uhuru on a Jubilee party ticket," said Karua.
