But as of now Kisii county governor James Ongwae has assured residents to expect peace in the coming weeks.

Speaking to the media early this week in his Office, the Kisii county boss said that residents should expect a smoke from the discussions that are ongoing concerning the Keroka market.

“I would like to let the residents have confidence and know that there is a white smoke which is coming out from the resolutions which we are making," said Ongwae.

"We hope that Keroka market problem will be solved once and for all,” he said.

“Since Senator Obure is around and being the chairman I would not like to talk much but what I would like to say is that there is a white smoke forming concerning the Keroka issue,” said Ongwae.

Our effort to have a comment from the senator did not bear fruits as he was engaged in other activities.
