Residents in Kisii County have vowed to hold Deputy Governor Joash Maangi responsible if his boss Governor James Ongwae will not fulfil promises he made since 2013.
In what is seen as a fresh headache for Mr Maangi who has been launching various projects since the start of the month, the residents said that they were sure Governor Ongwae will not perform.
"We are used to his style of leadership that is based on lies and if he is not going to change then we shall take serious actions against him," said Mr James Bundi a local.
Another local Mary Nyamwaro said that they did a mistake to elect Governor Ongwae back to office yet he had done nothing in his first term.
She said that they were deceived by the wave of political parties.
"What took place is sad and we are now in cries because we followed the party and not the individuals," she said.
Since 2013, Governor James Ongwae has been making promises saying that he will initiate the projects something he has failed to.
They include the putting up of a cancer centre and an avocado factory.
